Natural Woman Tanka Suite
by Cynthia Marie
(08/06/08)
I.
a thick branch
invades the small room
enters her quiet place
like a slain thing she lay there
2.
quick lashes of black
open the inky cloud
a burst of rain
pours heavy upon the jasmine
scent of musk rises
3.
peel me
until i'm painfully clean
and a piquant scent
curves around the room
annoucing our love
