Curiosity Killed the Cat
by Kathy Kubik
(11/19/03)
We do a shot of Cuervo,
toast friendship.
"Damn, you're in trouble," you say.
That's exactly where I want to be.
Your eyes burn holes in my skin,
eyebrow arches up,
my heart flies away,
drunk butterflies dance in my belly,
your voice drips with sex,
each touch a promise of sin --
Eyes close tight
you imagine it's Marilyn beneath you,
the voice you fell for over a
simple telephone line.
I moan.
You stir my insides around,
every push gets
closer to my heart,
to fill the void.
You leave...
I smell of your cologne,
sticky and sweet as honey.
Three showers now,
it still lingers
My body sore.
