Call of the Wild
The woman I was most
attracted to in life
kissed like a panther
mangling her prey.
I still have the scars.

lives a woman who wore a ring
on her finger given to her on top
of a hill overlooking a mine
one Minnesota August evening.
A woman once removed
from marraige
who has her Scarlett Letter
tattooed on the swell
of her back, where my
kiss would linger as she lay
naked on my college
dorm room bed.
Somewhere in Minnesota
lives a ghost with curly auburn hair
who haunts the walls
of grown men's pysches.
Fucking Britney Spears
She had a playboy tattoo
near her belly button
her skin was tanned
like a sunscreen ad
in bed she turned to me and said,
"Fuck me like I'm Britney Spears."
so I bent her over the bed
and latched onto her long blond hair,
I came early.
Grinning sheepishly I said,
"Oops, I did it again."
