Tonight rain breaks out happy tears
Soothing the foreheads of dry soil and palm trees
And I am held prisoner of this sultry heat
Fever pinching nipples and inner thighs
My red bushy hair feels like stems of fireball
Mother Nature whispers for me to come out and worship
And I join her, stepping out in the nude
Seeking moisture and reanimation
Brown veil of my eyelids are closed
I drift while I sway hips
And I listen to this magnetic ballad
Ahhhhhhhh...
Nothing but the rustling waves of palm leaves
Being fondled by the wind
Offering an amorous spiritual song
And the palate of my mind wanders
Wishing my lover was here
Wishing he could be the small quick drops
Unsparingly christening my flesh
Tickling and anointing the roots of my hair
This raw heat is beyond comprehension
Violating thoughts with aromatic scenes
Of strawberry filled moans
And lustful sugarcane grinds
Pounding love notes sweetly inside my mortar with his pestle
Declaring affection gushing on taut skin
Initiating the flesh with miles and miles
And miles of rich russet orchids
Chanting to me this island song
As he captures my spirit with luscious memories of Santo Domingo
I am wet inside when he discovers my central cavity
This coconut cream is his edible meat
I urge him to eat, drink and be merry
For this sweet milk certifies clearly I am all his
And we are ONE under this midnight rain
With the sinking eye of the moon glowing with envy
Drawing into our lungs the cordial scent of rum
And I run back inside drenched under this tin roof
Of unrefined sugar with herbs and spices
To my surprise I found him there
My colossal rock waiting
With hungry eyes of a lion...
The sibilant speech of the rain dwindles
And for a brief moment with bated breath
I am waiting for his thunder
