Night Stanzas

The way you were taut

by Derek Adams

The sheer stockings dark
bounding line and above, the
suspense of white thigh.

Black patent leather,
a four inch heel that presses
into soft white skin.

The way you were taut
body bending like a bow,
hands and feet cuffed.

Eyes closed, face captured
upraised, as if in rapture
as I anoint thee.
