Rebecca Brook article This brings up a comment I wanted to make with the "Sex and Politics" article a couple of weeks ago. Ranty Rooney said: "They're shocked into loud raving at the thought that a gay male or a lesbian female or-- heaven forbid!-- someone who likes leather or a little spanking or is transgendered might stand up in the House of Representatives, the Senate or at the White House podium..." Might one add, "in the pulpit"? Good job Rebecca. Victor
Victor <MrVic@aol.com> I think it's important to not glorify the Mitchell Brothers too much. As someone who is familiar with the working conditions at the Mitchell Bros. establishments, I perceive the Boys with a less glamorous perspective. The Mitchells made BIG BUCKS off the flesh of countless erotic dancers and sex workers. Even now, dancers still have to pay management several hundred dollars each night (as a stage fee) and then scramble to make their own profit!!! Thus, women who initially started out wanting to only dance are forced to perform tricks in order to make decent cash for the evening. Bad bad bad. Sex workers deserve better working conditions. Sex workers, like those at the Lusty Lady, deserve a union!
Lisa I'd buy church as a good source of community for many, but God as a "benevolent Top" does a disservice to all kind and loving Tops in the BDSM community. You have to watch out for that flip-side on Tops, the one that hurts people against their will, doesn't listen, brings plagues..... etc.
Donna J. I really loved this article. I am both of your faith and also in the "leather" community. I know our local preist Father Murphy would be having fits right now LOL. Although this might make an intresting sermon for high mass. Nicely done thank you.
Holly Jones <Puffywaun@Hotmail.com> Another spooky/sexy story in "On The Line" - very nice work. I like when these images stick with me.
Cindy BK Bravo to Aria Braverman for writing so honestly. CleanSheets could use a lot more serious sexuality pieces like hers that aren't always sweet, but yet nail the truth with such grace.
Joe Leary I want the babe on your front page for Christmas, dressed just like that under my tree! Nice website here.
Samuel J. I like the man-kneeling picture.... alot! Way better than the same-old b&w girl nudes.....
Denise M. That's a terrific (Justine) story within a story - excellent writing. Now if I could only find a real-life woman who would write stories upon her naked body and let me videotape them.....
Daniel Jackson The Missing Eighteen Minutes Just a short note to say I enjoyed this piece..I am a big fan of Annie Sprinkle and have seen her one woman show and also was lucky enough to have seen one of her performances at the Mitchel Brothers Ofarrell Theatre in San Fran. She is an amazing performar and showlady Al
Al <submariner5@mindspring.com> What a write! I could see, feel , taste it all. I was the boy who fell to the courtyard. Encore!! Regards, Bagel
Bagel <lin2481919@yahoo.com> Helena's 'Arianne' is a masterpiece!!!!
Michael <mischa_97223@yahoo.com> "Your writers cunt" - oh my oh my, those Blue stories are wonderful!
Jennifer T. I loved the story "Arianne" by Helena Settimana. The writer did a wonderful job of setting the story, teasing us with the lustful details, and interlacing the ultimate affair with the blunt sexuality of the young boy.
Sheila Jay <sheila_jay@worldnet.att.net> I found this site through Libido's links also, and it's lovely. I like the "You Can Call Me Al" story, but I bet he wishes he could be shipped back in that box for another week or two!!
Mary C. H. Jekyll: What a story. I've been so disappointed with "erotica" lately: the stories rarely seem good enough as stories or writing, and the sex is rarely hot enough to really "get me there." I've been bypassing my usual erotica sources and instead reading either regular literary stories or straight-on porn. But I'm so glad I visited clean sheets again tonight. That was a great piece of writing, and very sexy. I cannot imagine what the readers below are complaining about. Also, Braverman's piece was really powerful. I so admire writers who can dish such complex truths so succintly.
BG I have just discovered Clean Sheets today (via a link from Libido Magazine if you want to know). I think it is a very exciting site and I look forward to coming back again and again. I already spent several hours at today! Good luck to you and I hope to find a way of supporting you in the future. Ben Verona <ben_verona@yahoo.co.uk>
Ah, I love that "Erotic Compass" essay. I have been travelling through all of these directions myself, finally landing in the West, with enough passion to light the universe. To cook breakfast, to touch, to listen to his voice and come, to just *know* that you're in the same room and touching souls - this is the place for me. Joy <joyaugustine9@netscape.net>
I had an Uncle Eddie once in my life when I was a young girl- that's nice writing that gets to the confusion when you're an adult. EMB
Those are beautiful paintings of some real body types-very sexy. I thought the Shakespeare-story was condescending and couldn't finish it, but otherwise, enjoy the other stories. Jim H.
Boy, I didn't think that was sexy at all - guess its just taste. I thought the girl would have kicked him in the balls when he started to tie her up, and then move on to a better man. Janice S.
I think H. Jekyll has surpassed the realm of erotic writing with his beautiful story "Midsummer." It is a tender, sensitive, funny love story that is incredibly moving. The writing is as elegant as any a reader would find in mainstream literature. An extraordinary talent! Clean Sheets is to be complimented for finding and publishing this writer. Thank you. M
That's an intense and lovely but sad story by Aria Braverman. Thank you for having that here. JS
I thought H. Jekyll's Midsummer was wonderfully and skillfully written. I found it to be incredibly erotic, with the very well-done, finely-crafted depictions of sensuality so refined was I, being more lesbian than not, was surprised to find in a man! Clean Sheets reminds me there's really no such thing as Ken and Barbie. I'm sending my writing in soon! Thanks for the fine entertainment, Diva Girl P.S. "Born-Again" Diva doesn't mean a Christian diva, but a woman who's only recently discovered her True Diva Nature. :-) Diva Girl <bornagaindiva@hotmail.com>
I so enjoyed "Intensely Evan" I feel as though i have lived it.. Thank-you for putting my thoughts and feelings in words! tammie
Henry Miller has always been my favorite sex-writer. That's an excellent story about coming-of-age to literature -it brought back memories. Terry S.
The Roll, by Bill Noble, deserves wider consideration than just for erotic value. It has a sweet honesty and grasp of human reality's beauty and weaknesses that reminds me of Spider Robinson's work. Excellent story telling. Lisa Morgan <lisamorgan@lairhaven.com>
My libido would defeinitely be freed on top of that car with that woman! Great picture , and writing here. SGJ
I like the sculpture piece- every guy should have one of those on his desk for conversation. Good Kiss Kiss" story too. Jerry B.
I love Rachel Funari's essay. I especially appreciate the fact that she cuts down that tiresome myth of penis envy on her way through the joys of cock worship. Her piece is well-written, smart, and hot. The sculpture is a nice addition, too. So far I've been disappointed at the lack of erections in the visual content of Clean Sheets. I've seen a few artfully arranged flaccid dicks (and as Rachel F. points out, they have their charm), but the range of turgidity seems limited. I'd like to see more proud, throbbing hard-ons! a.c.
The poem "Foreskin" was very cute. J.S.
I am so glad that I found this site. Clean Sheets has heart, and real humor. Brenda H.
It's a toss up for me which is more enchanting here, the closing of "Reinvention of Velvet" or those striking paintings by C.L. Wilson. Excellent work. JJM
Bank tellers bent over marble counters, dirty dancing with Gore , and hot cars-I like this place alot. Jared Graham
I like the poetry that's been appearing here lately. "Joe", "Stella", "Foreskin", " Gasoline Poetry," "Tease tease," and a couple of others have been quite inspired. Jim H.
On kids -Indigo's got a good article in Salon Magazine about having kids and hiding her dirty magazines. I'll try to put the link in here below. If it doesn't work, it's at http://www.salon.com/sex/feature/2000/09/27/mom_writer/index.html ---FK Indigo's

You must not have kids-I'd have to hide my guy paper-dolls with my vibrator or something. and then what would they think if they came across them!! that "For Joe" is a beautiful, touching poem. Thank you. Sandy S.
Aw, thanks:). I had more fun writing that. But, Bush?? A sex-fantasy about Bush?? I'm thinking:). And, oh my yes, Al on the cover of Rolling Stone -- be still my, um, heart. I cut him out, like a paper doll, and will put him -- I don't know -- maybe on a popsicle stick or something so I can....play with him:). Thank you so much to all of our readers for your support during our Anniversary/ Staff month! We have lots of excitement coming up over the holidays -- a festival of fiction, our new readers' forum which will have chat & messaging & personals capability, a fun holiday-store, and plans are underway for the First Annual Clean Sheets Erotic Writing Contest. Susannah Susannah Indigo
If you're going to be featuring sex stories about politicians, don't forget poor Jimmy Carter, who confessed to having "lust in his heart." I love Katy Terrega's story--a steamy sexual reverie. And Bill McCranie's poem is wonderful. a.c.
Susannah Indigo's "You Can Call Me Al" is a resplendent act of political and social genius. I should right one thing so good, already. Would you write one for Bush? And post it before the election? Bill Noble <noblebill@aol.com>
He was funny on there. I never thought of him as sexy before, but if Bush wins I'll *never* understand how any straightthinking woman could vote for a smirking frat-boy over an accomplished man! *(Not meaning to start a political debate here- CleanSheets is much too sexy and fun for that, so it's only my humble Woman-Opinion) MB
Gore on Leno last night was loose and funny- maybe he read this first! ... when Leno asked him about the cover of Rolling Stone, where it appears Gore is , uh, packing, Gore said"I think people read this magazine for the articles." Nice issue here, and a good link on why not to vote for Nader. JGB
