We received over 150 stories in this contest, and it was a delight to read all of them. From the original 150, we narrowed
it down to 12 finalists, and then the judges went to work, coming up with our 5 top stories that you can read
through the links above. As an editor who is starting to work on a new themed anthology ( see Sex & Laughter guidelines), it gave me great faith in erotic writers -- everybody who submitted followed the rules(!), creativity and imagination ran high, and the sincere and authentic stories being told were all true "winners" simply because of that.
Our five top winners come from Germany, Canada, the states midwest, south, and west coast; some have published in Clean Sheets before, some have not; they write about gay, lesbian, and heterosexual adventures; and the fact that all 5 winners are women, well, we can only say that we read all entries 'blinded', and there were certainly some men who were really close in the top 12 finalists!

First Prize: $100.00 and
publication in Clean Sheets Magazine
Second Prize: $50 and publication in Clean Sheets Magazine
Third Prize: A copy of any two Clean Sheets direct-books and publication in Clean Sheets Magazine
Two runners-up will receive a token gift from our official sponsor, Toys in Babeland!

The challenge was:
Tell us a story. Make it short -- no more than 1500 words. Make
it sexy. Make it involve summer somehow. Maybe funny,
maybe dramatic, but make it new. So new,
in fact, that it must have the word "new" in the title.
We admit to not inventing that rule, and herewith provide our
inspiration, from Book Magazine
-- and we highly recommend a read in particular there of
"The New Polygamist" and "The New and Best Rule
for Sandwich"...neither of which are erotica, just great writing.
Your challenge is higher, since we believe that sex is one of the
hardest subjects to write well. But we know you are up to it --
we receive hundreds of emails every week with potential erotica
for Clean Sheets! Entries will be blinded (no names on them) and
judged by a panel of Clean Sheets
editors, including Susannah Indigo, Nola Summers, Brian Peters, Bill Noble, and Julia Peters.
