When you masturbate, what do you think about? I don't mean on those rushed occasions when you when have to get off right now or you'll burst, or those times when you're masturbating for or with someone else. I mean when you are alone and you're gonna take your time and you're gonna come hard.
What presses your buttons? Do you have a recurring fantasy that you embellish as you go along? Are there real people you think about? Do your fantasies surprise you? Do you leave fantasies behind and lose yourself in the interplay of friction and lubrication, speed and restraint, that orchestrates your arousal until your whole body needs the release of orgasm? Maybe you prefer the slow burn; low-level continuous arousal that leaves you with a happy exhaustion akin to a long swim followed by a sauna?
Whatever your preferences, I'm sure of one thing: you can learn a lot about yourself, about the unedited, unsocialised you, from what you do and what you think about when you masturbate.
Masturbation is the only form of sex that has no need for mutuality and no performance pressures. There's just you and whatever it takes to get you off.
So what does it take to get you off? Be honest? Would you really want people to know the answer to that question?
Does your imagination occasionally take you to places you would never admit to visiting? After all, you can do anything; have anyone or anything. There are no limits, no taboos, unless you impose them on yourself.
If you do limit yourself, even when you masturbate, what does that tell you? What do you gain? What are you afraid of?
Here's a thing to try the next time you want to get off alone. Get naked. Lie somewhere comfortable. Don't let any part of your body touch any other part: keep your legs apart, your arms away from your body, palms up. Close your eyes. Imagine a blank cinema screen. Silver. Flat. Now fill it with lust. Don't move. Just let the images come. Don't edit. Let your subconscious give you a slide show. Now switch on the sound. What do you want to hear? What do you want to say? Step in to the images in the screen. What do you smell? What do you taste? By now it's really hard to stay in that original position. So don't. Let your body tell you what it needs. Give it what it wants. That's right, touch it there, like that...oh and there as well and...push like that. YEAH.
My guess is each trip will be different. Each time you'll learn more about what your mind and your body want.
So buy a ticket and take a journey into your own needs.
