The Sex & Spirituality Writing Contest Enter

First Prize:  $100.00 and publication in Clean Sheets Magazine

Second Prize:  $50 and publication in Clean Sheets Magazine

Third Prize:  A copy of any two Clean Sheets direct-books and publication in Clean Sheets Magazine

Tell us a story. Make it short, or long -- anywhere from 1200 - 5000 words. Make it sexy. Make it involve spirituality somehow. It doesn't have to be serious, though we love deep and serious -- it can be funny, inspiring, profound, fantastical, but be sure to make it new.

The 3 top tips from the judges for getting your story noticed are: 1)Grab the reader from paragraph 1 -- no dull, descriptive openings. 2) Give us real sex & sensuality, using real-life words to describe it (e.g.; no "member" as a goofy word for cock or penis -- can't you just (not) hear that in real life - "hey baby, I'd really love you to suck my member.") 3. Make sure your story has a take-away for the reader -- what does it all mean? What feeling/idea/memory/hope is your reader going to take away after reading it?

Your challenge is high, since we believe that sex is one of the hardest subjects to write well. But we know you are up to it -- we receive hundreds of emails every week with potential erotica for Clean Sheets! Entries will be blinded (no names on them) and judged by a panel of Clean Sheets editors, including Susannah Indigo, Nola Summers, Brian Peters, Gwen Masters, and Bill Noble.

The Official Rules:

1. No longer than 5000 words.

3. Sex & spirituality is the theme -- take off on that in any and all directions.

4. Submit your story either as text pasted into the email, or as a .doc or .rtf attachment.

5. Make the reference line of your email "Sex & Spirituality Contest."

6. Email to spiritualitycontest@cleansheets.com

7. Deadline is April 1, 2007, no fooling; winners will be announced and published during May.
