Sex & Adventure in the New Year, with prizes galore!

Write something about any kind of sexual "adventure" -- it can be a road trip, a head trip, a bed trip, or any other kind of adventure -- the term is wide open for your clever interpretation. Give us Big Fun, wild vacations, courageous encounters, serious nudity, or new & unexpected pleasures...and just for a challenge, please include one of these phrases incorporated smoothly into your piece:

1. "Have you heard the world is flat?"
          or
2. "She can say 'peace' in seven languages."
          or
3. "This is the story of how we begin to remember."

Your work can be fiction, creative non-fiction, or poetry, any of which must be less than 2,000 words. Be funny, be serious, be outrageous, or just be intensely sexy. Let us see the world through your erotic lens and come away enriched and excited by it.

Your challenge is high, since we believe that sex is one of the hardest subjects to write well. But we know you are up to it -- we receive hundreds of e-mails every week with potential erotica for Clean Sheets! Entries will be blinded (no names on them) and judged by a panel of Clean Sheets editors, including Susannah Indigo, Nola Summers, Brian Peters, Shanna Germain, Gwen Masters, and Bill Noble.

The Official Rules:

1. Less than 2,000 words only. Poetry can be of any length less than 100 lines.

2. Theme must be erotic, and also must include some kind of 'adventure.'

3. Must include one of the above three phrases in the piece (and yes, you can change the pronoun and/or tense if it helps your piece -- for example, it could say "Hasn't she heard the world is flat?" or "My harem could say 'peace' in seven languages" or "This is the story of how Laura Bush begins to remember," as long as we can identify the use of the phrase.)

4. In the subject line of your submission please include a descriptive line, like:            FICTION: TITLE         or    POETRY: TITLE

5. E-mail submissions only, to sexandadventure@cleansheets.com

6. Send your submission either pasted inside the e-mail or as a .doc or .rtf attached file

7. No receipt will be be sent for your submission - you can assume we have it unless it's returned to you.

8. Get inspired and write quickly -- contest deadline is December 20; winners will be notified and published in January 2008.

9. Prizes: The Babeland holiday kits will be ones selected and provided generously by Babeland, and not the author's choice. Cash prizes will be sent approximately four weeks after the close of the contest.
