Michael Berkowitz was born in New York City in 1952. He's been a photographer, painter, sculptor, and performance artist, while traveling the world. In addition to his art, he has been a university art professor, mountain climber, a world-class martial arts competitor and teacher, French chef, tight-rope walker, and fine furniture maker.
