If he could just have something, anything, that resembled
a foot, maybe he could get his old perspective back. If he could stop
longing for the feet he felt he already had, maybe he could stop whacking off to
thoughts of feet caressing his face, stroking his cock, and burrowing up his
ass.
So ponders Phil, an accident victim, in “Phantom Feet,” by
Sage Vivant. Do we eroticize what we don’t or cannot have? Phil
certainly does and his life is a misery until he finds the right home-care
helper:
The therapist’s toes played in his pubic hair. The
sight of the closely cut nails, the well-tended cuticles, the tiny wrinkles near
the ball of the foot – all of it was too much. Every sensory cue went into
overload and Phil erupted, spewing months of need over the instep of this
grounded, indulgent man.
And maybe that’s the key: indulgence -- to give free rein; to
take unrestrained pleasure in; to treat with generosity and excessive
leniency. When we do that, the absolute gratitude that comes back is
priceless. If I look at feet as nothing more than a method of motion, but
my partner wants to bury his cock in my ass and suck my toes at the same time –
well, why not?
Love Under Foot is an anthology all about men and
their feet. Admittedly, I do have a bit of a foot thing happening…well, a
toe-thing really…specifically men’s toes, if you must know. Some readers might
pass on this collection because they aren’t exactly turned on by feet, or toes,
or old sneakers, but the hook here is that the writing is hot and
explicit. As a reader, I’m not just breathing heavy over some tanned toes;
I know why the character is excited and that adds the extra dimension missing in
a lot of the erotica that is on offer. Foot lovers can stand proud and
say, “See I told you feet were hot,” and the rest of you just might
discover something a little different you can use your toes for.
Christmas is coming – why not stuff your lover’s stocking
with something steamy?
