How to Have a Sexy Halloween

by William Dean
(10/30/02)

Slides from my Erotic Vacation It’s that time of the year again when the things that go bump in the night might send shivers down your spine and that tingle on the back of your neck might not be from your lover’s tongue...but then again...

I’ve always loved Halloween. It’s such a pagan, Old World, let it all hang out, let’s have fun, get spooky kind of holiday. Of course, now, like most things, it’s been commercialized all to Hell and back. Still, lots of people decorate their houses with nifty cobwebs and tombstones in the yard, dress up in cool costumes, and even the sights and sounds of little kids going door to door getting free candy makes you feel somehow separated, if only for a few hours, from the humdrum nine-to-five daily drudge.

There are plenty of things to do on Halloween for the over-21 crowd. Local theme parks put on some good shows, local "haunted houses" can give you the giggles and gasps. You can plunk down in front of the tube and watch some classic horror movies. Or...you can create your own special erotic Halloween festivities. Here are a few suggestions on how to have a sexy Halloween.

Have your own Fetish & Fantasy Party. You may not have made it to Las Vegas for the world famous annual Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball on October 26th, but why not throw your own? Invite your friends, coworkers, or neighbors over to be cool ghouls, nude ghosts, or leather/latex zombies. Crank up some remix on the CD player. Rent some funny horror movie DVDs and turn the sound off to make up your own screams and jokes. Get out the blindfold and handcuffs for party games. You could play Blind Man in the Buff, Pin the Tail, or Spin the Blowup Doll.

Ya think the old Halloween game of Scavenger Hunt is corny? Why not liven it up and make it sexy? Imagine the fun of teaming up and going out to to the neighborhood to try to find the elusive "treasures" on your list. What list? Easy! A "large-size" condom, a dead-battery vibrator, a well-read erotica book, some whipped cream, some naughty produce (extra points for cucumbers and zucchinis), a tube of lube. I’m sure you can come up with even more wacky, fun, sexy items, can’t you?

Or you could play "Skeleton in the Closet." Don’t know how? Easy! Get everyone together and one by one, each goes into the closet. Once in the closet, they have to tell, out loud, a secret sexual fantasy before they get let out again.

Or how about throwing a Gender Mind Fuck Party? Invite friends, neighbors, and/or coworkers to a Halloween Party. The gimmick here is that everyone has to come in costume as someone they want to have sex with. Highlight of the party games is when you all sit in a circle, turn out all the lights and each person has to describe how they’d seduce the person they came as. And no slipping out the back while the lights are off!

So, maybe, you don’t like crowds and big parties are too rowdy for your Halloween frame-of-mind. No problem. Just have a Party for Two (or three or four but not too many more!). Oh, the fun you can have with just an intimate gathering, right?

Games like, oh, Trick and Treat. Not sexy? Sure, it is! Here’s how you play. Before everyone else arrives, you hide various sexy objects and toys around the room (NOT behind the expensive breakables, okay?). Then after your guest(s) arrive and get relaxed and have some refreshments, you announce that sex toys are hidden. You turn out the lights, light a candle in a Jack O’Lantern (placed safely, please!) and whomever finds whatever gets to use the toy on you or a willing guest or guests! The neat thing is this game can be played either fully clothed or (if they’re REAL close lovers/friends) in the nude.

Another fun Halloween game is Scary Story. Again the lights are dimmed and you, as host or hostess, start telling a scary story (find a good one in a book or on the Internet, even better if it’s erotic!). When you get to spooky parts, you start speaking in a whisper and then Bam! You pull out and turn on your vibrator, Hitachi wand, or similar sex toy and touch the people near you with it. Of course, they’ll scream and say "Stop! Don’t!" but you and I know they won’t really mean it.

But what if you really want a way more intimate Halloween party? Will there just be you and your lover? You can still celebrate and have fun. For the guys, why not make a costume for Mr. Happy? It can be as simple as a white handkerchief with two black dots for eyes. Look, it’s a ghost penis! Or slip over to your local craft store for accessories. You can find little hats, doll clothes, mini this and thats for a wide variety of "cock costumes." Once attired, it’s time for Trick or Treating. Think you might get some candy?

For the ladies, "naked" costuming can be just as much fun. Buy some body paint, flavored or unflavored, honey dust, or other fun stuff and a great "costume" is only as far away as your imagination’s whim. If you’re a gal who "packs," you can follow the guys’ line above and make a cool costume for your dildo and accessorize the harness.

How about getting some orange and black body paint, and paint your butt like a grinning Jack o’ Lantern. This is really effective if you’ve got some chaps to wear. Just put your erotic mind to work and you can come up with tons of ways to have a sexy Halloween. And if you have a really great time, think about the story you’ll be able to tell at next year’s Halloween party!
