Harnesses come in several different varieties: a single leg strap, two leg straps, leather, nylon, buckles, velcro, with a center support ring and without. Each variation has its pluses and minuses. For women, wearing either a single leg strap or double leg strap depends on if you plan on being penetrated while wearing it. For men, there really is no other choice but the double strap. The two harnesses we're reviewing, can be used by both men and women. "Thigh One On" is a thigh harness which can be used on chairs and cushions as well. "Texas Two Strap" is, obviously, a two-strap harness.

"Thigh One On", which was previously known as the "Thigh Rider", is marketed as an alternative to a hip harness.

It is a rectangle of nylon, backed with another velcro-edged rectangle of nylon. The center hole is reinforced with a nylon support ring. The flap is fairly secure and there is no problem with holding the dildo in place. Once slipped onto the leg, however, the harness is very difficult to use. It doesn't stay in place well and slips often. This makes any sort of continuous use on the body difficult at best. Where "Thigh One On" excels is when attached to inanimate objects. When used with a chair, which does not have muscles to flex, the piece stays relatively secure and firm -- relative to how actively it's being used. With a cushion on the chair, it makes for an exciting ride. If you're looking for something to use to hold something down, this would be the harness. For thigh use, however, it falls short.

"Texas Two Strap" is a different story.

Made from either leather or nylon, this is a wonderfully strong harness, comfortable to wear, and relatively easy to use. We reviewed the nylon version of this harness. The two leg straps are held in place with slip buckles which, while difficult to thread, are very secure. The hip strap is also held in place with a slip buckle and it, too, is very secure. Once this harness is on, it's not going anywhere. The nylon straps are not as smooth as leather, but they do not chafe any of the delicate crevices. This particular model has a support ring that helps keep the dildo pointed in the correct direction.

The only drawback to the "Texas Two Strap" is using it with dildoes that have testicles: the extra rubber/silicon tends to push out the nylon support flap and thus gives less penetration overall. It can be used, but the overall length of the dildo being used is less. For the best possible fit and use, it would best to use a dildo without testicles attached.

Men will also find the "Texas Two Strap" easy to use. The two leg straps slip easily around the testicles and stay in place. One reviewer used it to penetrate his girlfriend anally while he penetrated her vaginally. The harness stayed in place well above his penis and didn't cause any problems with rubbing or cutting. The ample hip strap will fit most men, up to an extra-large waist.

All in all, the "Texas Two Strap" is a great harness for both men and women. "Thigh One On" is a mediocre harness, best suited for use solo, with a chair or stool for support.
